Sundown — Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 19, 2026

What we store

Sundown stores all gameplay state (puzzle progress, completed-puzzle history, theme preference, and premium-entitlement status) locally on your device (Android SharedPreferences / iOS UserDefaults). The app does not collect, transmit, or sell any personally identifying information.

Crash reporting

Sundown uses Sentry to collect anonymous crash reports if the app crashes. These reports include the stack trace, the device model, the OS version, and the app version. They do not include the contents of your puzzles, your device identifier, or any personal information.

Advertising

On iOS and Android, Sundown shows advertisements through Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). To serve ads, the SDK may collect device and usage information such as coarse location and device characteristics, as described in Google's policies. On iOS, Sundown requests App Tracking Transparency permission before allowing personalized ads. If you do not allow tracking, Sundown requests non-personalized AdMob ads instead. Where required by law, Sundown also shows Google's consent/privacy options before requesting ads; users who do not consent to ad requests do not receive AdMob ads. A one-time in-app purchase (“Unlimited Play”) removes ads and the daily play limit. Sundown does not use any third-party analytics SDKs.

Data deletion

To request deletion of your crash-report data, email the address below and include the device model your reports were sent from. We retain crash data for 90 days.
